Editorial disclaimer

CasinoNewest reviews online casinos and sportsbooks for a Canadian audience and is independent of them. We write about operators; we are not one. This page spells out what our reviews can and cannot promise, what you still need to check for yourself, and where the publisher’s responsibility stops.

Who stands behind the site

The publisher of CasinoNewest is Barbarymead Digital Media Limited, Heritage House, Ocean Village, Gibraltar GX11 1AA. It answers for everything editorial on casinonewest.com: reviews, ranking tables, bonus write-ups, betting guides and news. It does not run a casino or a sportsbook, it does not take bets, it does not process payments and it has no access to any account you open with an operator. You can reach the publisher at [email protected].

What our pages are, and what they are not

Everything here is general consumer information written for adults. A review describes how an operator looked to us on the day we checked it; a guide explains how a type of game, bonus or bet usually works. None of that is legal, tax, financial or medical advice, and none of it is tailored to you. If you need to know how a rule applies to your own circumstances, ask a professional or the authority in charge.

We do not tell anyone to gamble. Comparing two offers is not the same as recommending that you take either of them.

Licensing in Canada differs by province

Canada has no nationwide online gambling licence. Each province decides how gambling is offered to its residents. In Ontario, private operators need a registration with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) and an operating agreement with iGaming Ontario. Alberta has opened its market to private operators under the Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis Commission (AGLC). Elsewhere the legal online offer is usually run by a provincial lottery corporation, and many international brands accept Canadians while holding a licence issued abroad.

Our reviews state which licence an operator showed us. Whether that licence covers you depends on the province you are in when you play, so check it before you sign up. A brand listed here is not thereby lawful in every province.

Bonus rules for Ontario

AGCO standards limit how registered operators may advertise bonuses and other inducements to people in Ontario. For that reason a bonus amount mentioned on CasinoNewest may not be offered to you if you are located in Ontario, even by a brand that is registered there. Treat any figure on our pages as a description of what the operator advertised outside Ontario, and confirm on the operator’s site what you would actually receive.

Figures change faster than pages

Welcome offers, free spins, wagering requirements, game weighting, maximum bets while a bonus is active, deposit and withdrawal limits, accepted payment methods, payout times and odds all belong to the operator. They can change overnight and nobody is obliged to tell us. When a review is checked again, the date on it changes; numbers on a page describe that date and no later one.

The terms you accept when you register and deposit are the ones that count. Should the operator’s page contradict ours, the operator’s version applies to you — and a note about the mismatch helps us so the page can be fixed.

Payments: Interac, InstaDebit and the rest

We describe how payment methods behaved when we tested them or as the operator and the payment provider describe them. Fees, limits, processing times and whether a method is available to you are decided by your bank, the processor and the casino. A deposit that went through quickly for us is no promise that a withdrawal will reach you equally fast. Before you move money, read the cashier rules and the verification requirements of the operator concerned.

Bonuses are offered on the operator’s terms

Our bonus pages show how a wagering requirement is calculated and which games usually count. The operator alone decides who gets a bonus, how it must be played through, which games contribute and when it expires, and it may withdraw or void a bonus under its own rules. Read the full terms before you opt in. Turning a bonus down is always an option, and often the cleaner one.

Sports betting

Odds, markets, cash-out options and promotions on sportsbooks move constantly, sometimes within minutes. Anything we write about a match, a team or a betting market is commentary, not a forecast you can rely on. Single-event betting is legal in Canada, but where and with whom you may bet is still decided province by province.

Scores are opinions

A rating on CasinoNewest is the editorial verdict of our review desks, based on what they could verify: the licence, Canadian-dollar banking, how cash-outs went, the bonus small print, the game library and customer support. Reasonable people can weigh the same facts differently. The criteria are on how we rate, and the way the site earns money is explained in how CasinoNewest is funded.

Games of chance stay games of chance

Slot guides and table-game strategies explain the mechanics and the built-in house advantage. No betting system removes that advantage and no strategy makes a profit certain. A published RTP is a long-run average across an enormous number of rounds and says nothing about one evening of play. Free-play demos use credits with no value, so a good run in a demo is no indication of how real-money play will go.

Leaving our site

Links whose address starts with /go/ open an operator’s site and are marked as sponsored; some of them earn the publisher a commission. Other links point to regulators, help services, software studios and news sources. Once you are on another site, its own terms and privacy rules apply. Your player account, your balance and your documents concern you and the operator only, and complaints about them go to the operator first and then to the body that licensed it.

How far our liability goes

We check pages before publishing them and correct them when we learn of a mistake, but errors and outages can still happen. So far as the law permits, we accept no liability for money lost while gambling, for bonuses refused or cancelled, for delayed or blocked withdrawals, for closed accounts, or for any other loss arising from your dealings with an operator or from decisions you take on the strength of our pages. Statutory consumer rights that cannot be excluded by agreement are not affected.

Names, logos and our own material

Operator and game names, logos and screenshots remain the property of the companies that own them; we use them only to identify the brand or title under discussion. Articles, tables and graphics created by our desks belong to the publisher. Quoting a few lines and linking to the source is fine; for anything longer, ask first.

Age limits and help

Most provinces set the minimum gambling age at 19; Alberta, Manitoba and Quebec set it at 18; an operator may set a higher limit. Set a loss limit before you start, keep that sum apart from money for bills, and stop when it is gone. If gambling has stopped being fun, ConnexOntario offers free, confidential help around the clock on 1-866-531-2600; outside Ontario your province runs its own help line and self-exclusion programme. Readers outside Canada

The site is written for players in Canada. If you read it from another country, your local rules on gambling, age and tax apply and may be very different. Check that online gambling is permitted in your country before registering anywhere.
